1. Overview

GyLog is a motion data logging application developed and operated by Biwa Studio (operated by Kumo, Inc.) (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle data within the GyLog app.

2. Data Collection and Purpose

The primary function of GyLog is to record high-precision motion sensor data from your iPhone (including gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer data).

Purpose: This data is collected solely to generate log files compatible with Gyroflow or other video stabilization software.

No Personal Data: GyLog does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, phone number, location, or contacts.

Audio Data (Microphone): If you enable "High Reliability Mode," the app records audio solely to synchronize sensor data with external video footage. This feature is enabled by default to ensure reliable synchronization, but can be disabled in settings.

3. Data Storage and Privacy

• Local Processing: All motion sensor data and audio recordings are processed and stored locally on your device.
• No Server Uploads: We do not upload your recorded data to our servers or any third-party cloud services.
• User Control: You have full control over the generated log files. You can manually export, share, or delete them through the iOS file system.

4. Permissions

To function correctly, GyLog requires the following permission:

• Motion & Fitness: Used to access the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to record motion data for stabilization logs.
• Microphone: Used only when "High Reliability Mode" is enabled. Microphone access is recorded to synchronize sensor data with external video footage. Audio waveforms provide a backup synchronization method when timestamp alignment is insufficient.

5. High Reliability Mode & Audio Sync

GyLog includes an optional "High Reliability Mode" designed for professional workflows.

• Purpose: This mode uses audio recording to create a waveform reference that can be used to manually synchronize motion data with camera footage (e.g., by matching a clap sound). This acts as a critical backup when standard timestamp alignment is insufficient.
• Privacy: This mode is enabled by default. Audio data is stored locally alongside the motion logs. It is never transmitted to us or any third party. You can disable this in the app settings.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. There are no advertisements or third-party tracking SDKs integrated into the app.
